A great area to do camping and other water based activities. The reservoir provides outdoor activities and is a great place to go fishing.
We love the friendly, laid back atmosphere around the lake and in Burwell and Taylor.
Sandy beaches and clear water. Camping facilities are being upgraded . . . its our "go to" vacation spot at least twice each summer!

One of Nebraska's hidden treasures, beautiful setting in the sand hills. The lake has excellent fishing and as the water drops over the summer the entire shore becomes a perfect white sand beach. The lake is split into two sections the upper approx. 5 miles is no wake, this allows fishing without the boat and jet ski traffic. The lower approx. 5 miles has many recreational boaters, skiers and jet skis on the weekends with many stopped in groups on the miles of beach.
Loved it. The water is clean. The fish jumps out the water. Highly recommended.
